Thomas G. Duffy, Ed.D.

Dr. Duffy has served in public education for over 30 years as a teaching assistant, a teacher, a business administrator, and as the District Superintendent for the Moorpark Unified School District for 12 years. During his tenure at Moorpark Unified School District, Tom was actively involved in educational reform at the district level, and assisted in the creation and management of self-funded insurance programs including the creation of a new health benefits agency in Ventura County. Tom has a history of active involvement in school facility legislation and state bond campaigns.

Tom received his B.A. in History from CSU, Long Beach in 1971; credential specialization in 1976, his M.A. in Educational Administration from CSU, Los Angeles in 1977 and his Doctorate in Education in September 1992 from USC.

Tom has six sons - Tom, Tim, Dan, Matt, Andrew and Nick. His wife, Barbara, is a highly educated woman who has worked in the area of trauma as well as risk management in the medical field. Since April 2000, Tom has been a partner in the consulting and advocacy firm of Murdoch, Walrath & Holmes in Sacramento, California.
